Stoopid Question on Wheels
paulmw - 10/7/08 at 09:41 AM

I got some new Team Dynamics (15", 195 tyres and 38 ET??)

The tyre rubs the rear arches on my Spec R. How can I check on the wheel that they have sent me the correct offset?

Cheers Paul

Maybe it's because they're 7" wide. The ones you took off were 6" wide. Same offset but that means the sidewall is approx 0.5" nearer the arch.

I'll have 'em if you don't like them, 50 quid?

If you cannot change them give a bit of neg camber and ream the inside edge of the arch out with a Dremel. Worked for me.

The offset is usually stamped into the back of one of the spokes Paul if you have a look

shim spacer

used thes eon my clio v6 and they were fine

hubcentric ones are better for anything over 10mm i would say

I've just fitted a rear wheel arch to my r spec indy and I've got the exact wheels fitted team dymanics 1.2 15'' 38 offset 195 toyos and clearance seems ok.
