Pre cut panels on the indy
EasyJimbo - 22/8/08 at 07:01 PM

Guys
sorry for all the questions but I couldnt find the answer on the MK site, but are all the aluminium panels pre cut like other kit car manufacturers or do you have to cut your own?
thanks
James

the only alu panel you get is the floor which is pre cut. The rest are plastic although i guess you could use them as a template if you really wanted ally.

They are pre-cut, but with a bit extra left on so you can trim it to suit.

I got the plasic panels with my car, but have just used them as templates because it's not the best quality plastic I've ever come across and ali looks so much nicer.

I opted not to have the plastic panels in my kit order. Spent the money on another bit of kit.

(cant remember what may have been the propshaft)

I used cardboard as a template to cut the Ali then covered in fake leather.

Just something to bear in mind is that if you decide to go for an ali prop tunnel you could end up with some blinding glare on a sunny day. I've got the plastic panels and intend on using them as they're pretty light.

Oh, that sound interesting. Any pics of the car?
