I am proud to announce that after a gestation period of some 5 years....

The engine started first time this evening!

It ran pretty rough but it did run! so despite my lack of knowedge I have obviously got something right!

I guess I now have to move on to reading the bits of the megasquirt manuals that describe how to actually tune it now!

Still - chuffed for now! a MAJOR milestone reached

I was so conviced it wasn't going to start that I didn't record the event

I runs pretty rough, but what the hell! it runs!

What a feeling that must be. Spent the day on the car today, next week I am going to collect the exhaust and fuel tank, can't wait for that first start. Well done.

Its amazing how you forget all the bad times and frustrations of the build when you hear it start for the first time i had a silly grin for days,well done mate.

You're having better luck than me.... i'm going well on the build, but i got stoped for speeding yesterday on the M27 by an unmarked scoda octavia VRS.... trouble is i'm on 11 points already..... might have to sell the avon project....

I saw a green and yellow Tiger on Sunday at the junction opposite our house in Clay Cross, driver had a black fleece and hat on. It sounded alright too.
