I've just bought one for my 919 this week from Andy. Prompt postage and spot on advice and help from him too.

Can't fault him - excellent service. If only dealing with other KC and KC related businesses was as pleasant and simple!

I had a google at some pictures, then just got a bit of 1/4" Ali and cloned.

This takes 10 minutes with a jig saw.

What takes more time is cutting and welding the sump + shortening the pickup and oil return to suit, but only needed if you are trying to reduce underhang.

Don't really need one on early blades do you - as Mr Ison said...

We run all our carbed blades on baffle plates, both 893cc and 919cc.
Basically oil surge is directly related to how fast you drive the car and how hard you are on the brakes. The forces within the engine when cornering in a bike which leans through corners, serve to keep the oil flat in the sump. However in a car cornering hard the oil is thrown up the sides allowing the pick up to run dry and oil pressure to drop - at this point it is curtains for the shells somewhere along the line.
Whilst road cars seldom achieve the levels of cornering and braking we view the £35 cost of a baffle as a relatively small expense versus the cost and hassle of a blown motor. As for trackday or race use I would not go near a track without one fitted and for the extremes of racing we also move onto the replacement billet sump as a baffle alone wont be sufficient.
Hope that helps

Andy
