Fireblade mods

Hi guys.

I have a CBR919 blade engine in my Stuart Taylor and it has a TTS (Pipercross) filter and a dynojet kit fitted. It has been tuned on a dyno but I was wondering what other mods I could do short of changing engines or turbocharging it.
Is there an ignition control module available for the CBR 919 carby fed engine and if so are they of any benefit power wise? Also are there any airboxes available that will allow me to fit a standard bonnet without having to have a scoop for the filter to protrude through?

You can fit a CBR600 ignition module to raise the rev limit.

You can also fit an ignition advance plate as it is designed to run on 93ron fuel, it replaces the trigger wheel on the end of the crank for the sparks.

Turbo is best

I am curious about these options. What does the CBR600 ignition module set the rev limit to?
If the engine is tuned for poxy 93 ron fuel and I only ever run it on 98 then I can advance the ignition and get a smidge more power out of it. Have you got any links or info on changing from the trigger wheel?

Adds a couple of thousand RPM, - 15,000.

Try ebay for an advance plate Factory Pro Ignition Advancer Honda CBR900RR 93-99 +2 | eBay

Or you could adjust your own one with a file and a bit of weld keeping it locost.

Thanks Mark. I'll look into it. Do you know what the factory redline is for the 98 CBR900 and what it can safely be revved to?

11750 is the red line I believe (or was on 94 balde anyway).

Instead of fitting an advance wheel I believe you can slot the mounting holes for the signal generator pickup. How you accurately get 2 degrees though i'll leave to you
