since most of my knowlege is relevant to cars and ford engines in particular
im a bit lost when it comes to BEC's

mainly the transmitions

whats the best way to get the power from the bike box to the wheels?
do you use a chain or modify the box to take some sort of propshaft?
and are you still able to use the rear axle from an escort/capri/cortina?

Hi
Gearbox sprocket is changed for an adapter to take a small prop to either a centre bearing or a reverse box, then from that to the diff/back axle. Most diff units can be used i.e. Escort, Cortina, Capri, Sierra etc... but you have to be careful of the ratios or your first two or three gears may be redundant! No worries re. gearbox as bike engines have one built in, 6 speed sequential at that!

yeah i am definatly liking the idea of sequential gears via buttons on the steering wheel with one of those shift kits

You really need to converse with Jon Ison or Jasper as I'm the Luddite of the group! Give me x-flow and twin 40's anytime (until I say different!!)
