R1 clutch

Afternoon!

Can anybody tell me how many degrees of rotation on the clutch rod?
Currently, my pedal is rotating it a full 90degrees, however it disengages after 20, and most of the pedal travel does nothing leaving the biting point at the top, which is annoying...

Anybody know? I have searched can't find anything

Thanks
Phil

Think mine (5vy) goes about 30-45deg but your's (earlier?) could be different. If you have the diaphragm type spring (think on all before 5vy) you need to be careful not to have too much movement as it can flip the spring inside-out and you lose drive. To reduce the throw either reduce the cable attachment to pedal pivot distance or extend the gearbox lever (both will give you an easier to use less vicious clutch) or fit a pedal stop.

I've defiantly got too much pull then.
Which works out well as I want to lower the clutch pedal anyway.
Further research revealed on a bike it's about 15mm cable travel, is yours similar to that?

Probably a bit more than that from memory but it's not something I've paid a lot of attention to recently.

Stop and cable now adjusted, feels mint! I couldn't quiet remember what it was like before a stripped the car, but it now feels the best it's been.
Thanks for info
Phil.
