Fuel pump for R1 motor
Daft Lad Picko - 12/1/06 at 08:35 PM

Just putting the feelers out as to what fuel pumps any of you have had good experiences using to feed a carb'd R1 (circa 1999 / 2000) and whether you used a regulator or not. Also names of any good suppliers would be most welcome.

Cheers

Wott about the standard R1 pump....runs on a points type system I believe that will turn the pump off when the pressure gets up and kick back in again (obviously)....£25 new from a bike supplier place or about £10 from flea-bay....Oli.

Dont mean to hijack, but where do you get the large P clip type strap to secure an R1 fuel pump?

Thanks

Looks like the bike pump is the way to go. E-bay seems to of all but dried up on R1 carburettor pumps (1 on at moment), but R6 ones are 2 a penny. Looking at the pictures they look identical, can anyone confirm the pump operating pressures and flow rates of both pumps, 'cos I'm tempted to get an R6 one?

Cheers
