Next thing is to get a workshop manual and figure out what all hoses and cables suppose to do.

I also have to decide what kit to buy. MK or Westfield as it feels. Westfield has swedish rep. MK i cheaper to buy....

On the other hand MNR is well known for it's R1 installations - lots of BECs experience, especially with 98-01 R1... just pop into their folder and see how many are right now using that engine...
OK... I've got the EFI 03 R1

No... not a BIASED comment

Have a look HERE and HERE for a R1 manual.

I was thinking RHD for weight distribution reasons. It also seams to be easier with the steering rod..
But maybe LHD is what I want to drive in sweden.
As I understand it is not all kit manufacturer that do LHD.

Weith distribution:
You are absolutly right. in a LHD configuration - as mine - you'll be driving with an engine in your front and the righ side absolutly empty. I don't know how it will affect ballance as I've never drivven one.
Steering column: The R1 is a very upright engine. One bearing support in the middle near to the chassis on the left side is what MNR is using in mine.
MK did lots of LHD in the past.

MNR chassis (and I don't know others) use round tube and a lot less welds than a traditional one.

Joao
PS: OK... I was able to talk about a 2nd fabricator now
