Clutch life in hilly areas

I live in a hilly area the likes of which one rarely sees in England. Will a R-1 clutch handle the abuse of uphill takeoffs on say an 11 percent grade? I remember smoking a couple clutches during my dirtbike days, and that was with a machine that weighs 1/4 what a BEC does.

It'll wear quicker than normal, so be prepared to change your plates (including steels) and most particularly your oil more frequently.

My stock R1 clutch has done 4000 miles, including a couple of trackdays. I had no idea of the condition of it in the first place as I have never had the cover off and don't know how many miles the motor has done!
