On a bike-engined car, would you use the bike's cdi and harness, or would you use an aftermarket product. (Painless)?

I've used the bike harness that I've stripped down to run the engine and a separate loom to run the rest of the car.

I would strip down the bike loom yourself - you'll learn a lot about it in the process!

I've seen on some Hayabusa motorcycle forums mention of doing away with the CDI and going "stand alone." I'm not sure exactly what that means.
