While on the subject - is it worth the extra for a TRT? About £250 I think.

Is that £150 inc. prop, or £159 to convert existing prop?
I'm contemplating the TRT at the moment - I have the sierra unit in my garage as modded by MK, but I have nightmares about it not being properly
balanced and coming apart at speed and impaling my left leg.
I like my left leg.
i have no pics and i dont want to start a price war , just got mine delivered from auto prop £152 inc vat and post, i got a price for trt from
another company, just shy of £400 , going to try and get you a pic now
cheers mark
It's been welded and sorted by MK, so it should probably be ok. However, of all the things to get shoved through the old block and tackle at
100mph, I can't help thinking that a piece of propshaft would bring a tear to the eyes.

Dunning & Fairbank.
Mine was £160 with sliding section and TRT.
Pat...
I know they're custom made, but why are the prices so widely varied? Do you have to ring them on a good day?

Approx £150 to convert your existing propshaft to TRT including balancing.
Phil
Ours came back clean and with a fresh coat of paint.
Phil
Sold at £150 for a TRT prop conversion clean and shiney without any of my effort (the best way )
Assume D&F?

You need a 2pc shaft for the MC kit cars.
Price for torque resilient tube 2pc shaft will be £195.00 + carriage £13.00 + vat.
Price for a non-torque tube 2pc shaft will be £155.00 + carriage & vat.
All we need are your measurements from the G/Box fl to the centre of the c/brg mount and from the c/brg mount to the diff flange face.
All parts available ex-stock to build a shaft.
Delivery at the moment is 7-10 days from order.

We can supply either a single or twin shaft in resilient tube complete with flanges, we can determine the need for a single or twin when you advise us of the length required.
£258.00 Twin shaft
£155.00 Single piece
Just starting a bike engined locost. Sorry for my ignorance, but whats TRT? Sounds like something I might come across or need?
Takes some of the shock out of the driveline during gearchanges like the cush drive in a bike rear wheel.
Thanks guys, looks like I should be fine

I was contemplating taking it all apart myself and replacing everything, but I just want to get the car finished, and few extra quid here and there
fopr someone else todo the job for me makes life easier (and safer!).
Not sure how I'm going to use the safer argument with the missus about Wilwood calipers over recon'd sierra ones, but I'll think of
something!
Just tell her that they're straight off a special edition Sierra Spunkbucket - I'm sure she'll believe you!
She never believes me.
Not when I buy new stuff that's critical.
Not when the perfume smell from my night out was the air freshener in the toilets that caught me.
Never
Birds eh? Can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em....
Ooooh, I didn't realise I had a U2U! I have now replied....

You need to stop being humble about it...
If my misses accused me of being with a woman over the smell of a bathroom airfreshener, she would get a mouthfull of indignant response, not "but honey is was the bathroom airfreshener, honest"
Moneywise, she needs to be told that whilst it is "our" money, you have a right to buy things for yourself from money you earn...
Get some backbone lad, if she is assertive, you need to be more so... you are the man not her..
If on the other hand it means your family will go short of something then thats different..
Yes, but being gentlemenly isnt about doing everything your wife says...
Thats being a slave
I don't know how being a Quantity Surveyor relates to pictures of BEC prop.... but i'm sure it does so carry on!
MONEY AND SAFETY?
WHERE IS THE LIMIT?
a prop isn“t the limit..
tell your misus (woman) that if you miss one leg that life for her will be terrible...
i bet you can buy 2 props with that one..
I think if you life together allot % of money is also for both of them.
saying that i hope i can be a little big spender in the end its the way you can life at best
Tks
