Mounting ECU and sensors

Hi,
I'm in the process of wiring up the car. Its a Yamaha FJR1300 so same electrics pretty much as the R1. I'm looking for some advice on where best to mount the ECU, regulator/rectifier, relays etc. Are they prone to failure from heat when under the bonnet?
At the moment I have them loosely mounted under the scuttle on the back of the scuttle panel and they seem to fit nicely there. I'm just worried they might be a pain to get at because I'd have to remove the scuttle to get at them. I'd leave the fuses accesible though.
Thoughts?
Thanks
Rob

I always rubber mount the ecu, just in case.
Main one to worry about is the reg/rec, they get very hot, and are better mounted in the airstream. If you do mount it out of free air i'd suggest fitting a computer fan on it to keep the temp down.
