Hello,
A question for those people running the GSXR1000 engine how strong and reliable are they proving or not proving to be as the case maybe, I heard
things about the gearbox being fragile is this right or wrong
Cheers

Hi
We've had ours on the road for a while now with no problems at all. Not heard of anything about the gearbox?
The sidecar boys were going on about it a while ago, but I haven't heard anything since
Cheers

Full season sprinting a GSXR1000 car in 2006 with no serious problems, full season with a GSXR750 (similar components - bored 815cc) in 2007 with no
serious problems.
Main problems were related to clutch wear and oil surge, the latter may well have done some damage, but we'll see when the engine (GSXR750) gets
looked at next month.
Beautiful engines, in all respects, can't rate them highly enough.

Is the gsxr750 in a car or bike, if it's a car how heavy is it, I just so happen to have a GSXR750K1 with 140 plus hp lying around
Cheers

Have had our avon on the road for 3 months
with a supercharger on it, it does have a
dry sump though. Engine has been stronger
than the nose cone which met a hedge.
Thats because it's also stronger than the grip of
the rear tyres
hi mate a 750 engine in a car regardless off 140 brake
especially if in a mini will sound great and rev to 16 million rpm and thats about it
you want minimum fireblade 900
Yep, the 750 is a car (Mega), fully roadgoing, 432Kg. It took the ASWMC Sprint Championship 2007 (www.aswmc.org.uk), so I guess that says how good it
is (usually/often quicker around the circuits than Hayabusa/VX/etc vehicles...)
Absolute hoot to drive, jet turbine revs
