Whats the SVA looking for re emissions?
Jason Fletcher - 5/6/08 at 03:06 PM

As title really, I have been told that the SVA man does not look at the CO2 emissions, is that right?

I have no way of checking anything other than CO so I guess I will have to make the thing so lean that it just runs and give that a try for SVA unless anyone has any other ideas or advice?

Its a hayabusa by the way.

The SVA man is looking for the same as an MOT for emission, it is all based on the age of your engine. He will check the HC's as well, so if you run too lean he will notice. For a busa I would assume you need a CAT anyway

I have a cat fitted so hopefully I might be ok then. I did hear that westfield told people to reduce the fuel presure for sva.

cat and a power commander and you should be fine, restricting the fuel pressure will work but a bit more fidly to acheive, it will be a doddle with a power commander
