Tidy bays
bassett - 16/7/08 at 07:20 PM

Hi, has anyone got a picture of a tidy engine bay with an r1 lump fitted? I need some motivation before i end up dumping it all in the scuttle. Any advice on achieving a tidy engine bay - wiring wise would be greatly appreciated.

I am facing the same problem myself but as far as I can see it is impossible to do it properly without extending the bike loom.

Check stuart_g's photo archive as his engine bay is immaculate (not jealous - honest)

Here's mine.

I tried to get all the cables in the engine bay into a small loom then put it into convoluted tube and then cable tied it to the under side of chassis tubes.
I did have to extend and replace parts of the R1 loom to get them into the right areas out of sight.
