Hi Jason,
what Bosch pump did you look at?
I am looking to do my own leccy water pump system on my blade but was thinking of two Bosch booster pumps roughly about 7.5 l/min (which together
would provide greater flowrate than the Davies Craig EBP). They would be wired in parallel with one on constantly and the other on as temperature
increases and only just enough to maintain temperature at an adjustable set point. Still to work out how to do the electronic side but still looking
at the pump stage.
Cheers
They Certainly look sexy in billet aluminium but the one benefit the Davis Craig system has is the EWP Controller. Given that I'm running the pump off a bike battery and alternator I would prefer that it only operates (and draws current) when the engine temperature requires it, and then only using sufficient power for sufficient flow to maintain the temperature and no more. Without a controller the pump will run constantly at max power even pushing against the thermostat when cold.
I looked at the Bosch pump Radical use and got one of those. The outlets are only something like 3/4 inch.
The Davies Craig has the option of being run with the controller but I heard bad reports of them.
My pump runs all the time and I have the std 85 deg stat in the engine. I do have a bypass hose fitted from the head to just before the pump so there
is still some circulation even when the stat is closed. It runs fine.

Hi Jason,
don't suppose you remember the product code for the Bosch pump?
Cheers
No sorry but if you phone Powertec and speak to Lee in the parts he will tel you. He charged me 75 quid plus vat for mine.
