If its unplugged does it make a difference apart from the error code?

Does this work for all models?

We are converting 2 cars to 2005 5VY R1's, i'll be using the bike clocks so will need to make something up but my mate is using different clocks so if it don't make a diff he won't need one.

Ok people ive found what you need here:

exup replacer
exup replacer

i have used this circuit on my 2006 5vy R1, and it seems to work fine. Only thing i will mention is on my 2006 5vy one of the wires is a different colour to the wires on this diagram... all the others are the same, so i hooked up all the correct colour wires, then connected the last one up to the remaining connection on the circuit
