What type of suspension do these have? I've searched on here and yahoo but can't find anything about the mark 5, anyone know?

Double wishbone front, live axle rear.

Same as Mk3 and Mk4 suspension.

thanks.
Generally regarded as good or bad for kit car application?

the hubs are those most traditionally sought after for a 'book' locost, and if you want a +4 width car, the rear axle is good too.

Essentially, you are better of with a cortina than the escort the book recommends
