I bought and scrapped my Sierra donor in march, quite some time after buying the 1600 CVH that I intend to use in the locost. Today I received my updated V5 from DVLA. I have informed them that the 1600 has been installed in the car so the new engine number and cylinder capacity are shown on the fresh reg docs. Will I still need to write to Ford to get documentary proof of the engines age, despite the date being cast into the block?
