I know the sho was built by yamaha, but does anyone know if it bolts to a standard ford bellhousing? mated to a type9 might make for a nice front/rear
package
just a thought
can be mated to a t5 with an aerostar belhousing if i remember right
Nice engine but SHO forum reveal particular maintenance...
I've worked on both the v6 and the v8 SHO's. Physically a big engine, very finicky electrics, expensive and difficult to get parts, high maitenance, and most repairs require above average mechanical skills even for profesionals.
great engine but will it fit a standard chassi? orhave to buils a 442?
you see them come up for sale around here, usually for a good price, Might have to find a low miliage unit, and if it goes pull and replace.
good to know it'll bolt together.
I'd prefer to do a zetec, but the six might be a nice alternative for a 442 chassis if I stumble across one at the right price.
