hi hope someone can give me some advice i plan to start a locost car this winter using the book and build the chassis myself but i am unsure as to
which donor car i should use.
is the 2.0l zetec from a mondeo ok and can i use other patrs from it like the brakes etc (only because i have seen them for around £100 for a mot
failure)
also i have seen vectras cheap but what problems would i have with getting a gearbox if any for this engine
thanks for any replys/help
£100 notes seems ok for the engine and auxilleries but as far I know not a great deal more can be used from the mondeo, you still need a sierra
really or by all the bits separatly from the kit car manuafacurers or ebay.
Hope this helps

Engine is about it. If on a budget try and find a pinto/cvh sierra.
Paying £200 would get you a much more usefull donor imho. And better value to boot.
I'd agree about the Sierra. They are getting a bit of a sod to find thou.
Speaking to the local breakers they usually dispose of them immediatly as it isn't worth keeping.
If you can find a local breakers where their knuckles don't drag too much and their forehead doesn't slope over their bottom lip you may be
able to persuade them to call you if one turns up.
you could try donorworld.co.uk, i hear they may need the cash at the moment.
just make sure you collect
