a friend of mine has choosen to build an MK indy, so in preparation he managed to get his hands on a corrolla gti cheap, he now wants to know what he'll be needing from it and what he can get rid of? help and knowledge is much appreciated as i dont really know. many thanks
The only thing I used from mine was the engine, engine loom and ECU. I used a Sierra as the main donor, which is what the Indy is designed for. Unless your mate has an older RWD Corolla he will also need a RWD conversion kit from Raw Enigineering. Not the simplest or cheapest route but supposedly a great engine option.
cheers paul
i too went down the route of 4age option, it will be a more expensive option for you even if you had the car for free, i used a fwd 4age small port
engine, stripped all the loom out and ecu, i had to buy a ae86 (rwd corolla gt) rear axle (lsd as standard) and t50 gearbox, set me bak 300quid! i
would stick to using the sierra running gear and get a raw bellhousing conversion, chaeper and alot easier,
then again it is all upto you and it is purely your choice, if you need any advice u2u me.
thanks
