cant find the engine number. 1300 ford crossflow from escort mk ll. please help

Look here http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=67632. As i have found out its a pain searching for crossflow stuff because you have to search under x/flow,x-flow,xflow,crossflow etc .

if it is not stamped on the boss between cylinders 1 and 2, then don't worry - quite often the blocks are decked which removes the stamp. nothing sinister then just not very helpful when fillinig out SVA form.
