Picking this up on wednesday
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1968119.htm
bit more info:-
"Running gear a combination of mini and metro front disc metro, subframes
classic mini with new spax gas shocks, gearbox metro turbo, engine Cooper
MPA with 1 3/4 SU. Rebuilt. Standard inners. 5 1/2 x13 wheels and 185/60/13
tyres. Sony cd /radio with 4 speaker system. Roll hoop with hard top and
soft top. Another engine and gearbox in bits could be available. Good basic
car engine fault is simple no internal issues Builder manual. Some yellowing
of the body due to UV over the years but good at arms length!, and few star
cracks at engine hidges and were the carb is close the under bonnet.
Ran well all through the winter and spring months, then started
to cause problems with tickover.
Fitted an electronic pump as though it was fuel starvation. Drained the fuel
tank. Played around with timing and distributor. Think it is mixture on the
carb nothing major. Got it running perfectly for one day would not go the
next. Just bloody annoying."
Its just a little road toy that i can commute to work in when i fancy it, always liked them and this one popped up at the right money. Plan is to get
it running, then tart up internally and externally, with the same martini race colours of the fury so i have matching pair
So where shall i start tracking down the engine problem??

Nice cars and cheap for what you get.
I'd suspect heat if it worked ok in the winter and started playing up in summer.
Maybe the coil?
p.s. this months complete kit car shows a conversion kit from z-cars fitting a 2 litre honda lump into a rossa. page 13 if you're in WHSmiths
So when do we expect to see this on the RGB grid?

I'm not sure your fleet (bus included) consists of enough white GRP.
Are those 205 rear light clusters? Would benefit from some red aftermarket replacements imo.
ETA: Just noticed the steering wheel. That is schweeeeeeeeeet. Ffffnarrrrrrr!

Said steering wheel will, I think, require the wearing of beige string back driving gloves and possibly the use of a pipe

Metro items Classic mini subframes, plus some metro bits. Very simple! Just a bit of fun on the way to work, my run up to liverpool is going to be a cracking fun
He he i like them. Put a k series in it.
As for the running trouble, coil? Valve clearances? Carb full of crap and wrong oil in the su?
Not bad for a kit you can use every day.
I've seen a couple at track days and the handling looked... hmm... interesting!

Catching up with them there seemed to be something odd going on with the rear end and a tendancy to lift the inner rear wheel. They were pretty
twitchy coming out of corners and didn't inspire confidence to overtake entering a stright.
