Pete...thanks , it pulled very easily, I'm convinced that plenty of PVA (which you can see being washed off in the pic) helps a lot...finish is
good, but it's definitely being painted...I chose white gel because it (and black) are the cheapest colours...even cheaper that clear gel believe

I'd guess it's about 20 pounds.
Could have been a bit less if I'd used more balsa and less mat and resin, or if it wasn't going to rear hinged and hence reinforced
accordingly. Overall I'm pleased with the weight and rigidity.
Well done Alan. Fantastic work and good planning. I know some top-class 'glassers, but I've never seen a glass body that looked good until
painted.
Lamborghini exhibited some of the worst glass bodies I've ever seen (woven fabric texture right across the roof, and clearly visible in places
without sufficient gel coat).

The last section of the body mold is waxed ready for PVA...should be laying it up this weekend, then if the mold sections all seperate well then I
could be doing the body the weekend after....so this month is very likely...

I am amazed that the rear part you pulled is only 20Lbs (About 10Kg right?). How many layers of glass is that and what weight cloth? Are you using
epoxy resin?

20 pounds is my rough guess..could be more, but didn't seem too heavy......I very rarely use cloth, this was all CSM (chopped strand mat).....I
used 2 layers minimum of 1.5 oz mat....muck thicker in places especially around the hinge points....I always use polyester resin.....waaaaaaaaaaay
