i have removed the engine/gearbox from my donor sierra and intend to rebuild the engine and use it. (1.6pinto)
i am unsure about using the gearbox as it is a 4speed box (type 3 i think)-
came from a Dreg car
can i just get new oil seals for the gearbox? and will it mean that i'll have better acceleration when used with the tuned 1600 pinto compared to a standard 5speed box????

The gear ratios are supposed to be better with the 4 speed box, first gear is a bit short on the 5 speed.

I used Burton Power Products for gaskets, seals and gearkits on my Type 9 and they seem to hold stuff for all kinds of 'boxes.... plus you can order online....
