Viento side repeater location
Irony - 8/5/13 at 10:24 AM

Can some let me know where abouts they put there Viento side repeaters. I think the usual place is on the scuttle but recent people with other cars have been putting them on the actual front cycle wings.

Does anyone have any good advice on this regarding the IVA?

Hi
Side indicators will fail on the scuttle , ours did.
We were told by Mr IVA man to put them
in the rear arches (see borrowed pict)

You may need resistors for these .
Good luck

I have already bought some of those button indicators incase I need to do that. Where was your IVA testing station? I'll more than likely be taking mine to Nottingham.

Fitting them in the mirrors worked for me (on a locost) and passed the IVA.

Much easier to put them on rear arches, already very close to wiring, and if you delete the rubber surround they look very neat (see my photo in renetom's post)
I should say that you should check the distance from the front of the nosecone, 2.6metres maximum, very carefully.
Mine passed IVA yesterday with them

Easy pass in rear arch Nottingham
After IVA put an additional pair in the headlight bowls

This version alone, won't pass IVA because of the 5 degree constraint. Certainly counted as one of my fail points, so may have to fit more in rear arches, as in Renetom's pic. Plus - you have to disconnect the headlamp bowl repeaters, for the IVA test. Or so I've been advised.

Yes, you can only have 1 side repeater per side.
