I just bought a Locost with a zzr 1100 D engine (bought as a project)
Could anyone please tell me what coil packs should be on this engine? i was told its got the wrong ones on it (from a previous engine)

Not sure I understand the question but any of the zzr1100 range should work ok. Also the zzr1200 ones worked fine on mine.
Ok thanks. I think the ones that are on it now might be off the fireblade engine previously fitted and im having problems getting it to run right at
the moment.

Am i right in thinking it only revs properly to about 3000rpm?
Apparently it was originally fitted with a Fireblade engine and when it got changed to the ZZR1100 engine they somehow grafted the Fireblade coil
packs into the wiring but it failed to work correctly :-/
To be honest im struggling to get it to run at all at the moment. It starts and miss fires then cuts out.
I gave 3900 for it
Im going to strip it down and hopefully have it on the road as soon as possible.
Could anybody tell me from experience if i would be better off with an air box or foam filter/s on the zzr 1100 engine?

i think your always best off with the standard air box, due to the RandD Kawasaki will have put into it!
however, i don't have the space for one - and i like open intake noise, so its got a panel filter on.
What size jets are you using with that filter?

I had two sets of carbs. One had 140 main jets and wouldn't rev past 3k rpm.
The other has 155 mains and seems perfect.
The filter shouldn't change things too much.
What jets are you running?
I've got a complete zzr bike for sale if you interested INA donor package??? The bike is still all intact so can be ran first to prove its ok
Iv got an engine now and most of the bits thanks.
My carbs seem to have 160 jets in outer carbs and 156 on the inner 2. Is there a valid reason for that?
