After a useful telephone conversation a few weeks ago, I'm thinking of asking Luego to make me a custom grill for my MK. I wonder if anyone could give me any advice on weight, fitting etc.

The grill will be in the same style as those produced for their own cars.

Is your nosecone MK Tim? Or is it Luego?

Could you not manufacture one yourself from aluminium or stainless. I know of a lazer cutter in Sheffield if you want details...

I could perhaps make one, but my skills and in particular, my time are very limited - Hence why the nice people at sasperformancecars.com are building the car for me.

The nose is a standard MK item, but I was interested in the Luego look as the car is black and chrome or polished (wishbones, roll bar, lights, NOS bottle etc) So I thought their bar-type arrangement would suit the rest of the car.

Any thoughts?

I like the bar type grilles, see left. They look particularly effective with some silver mesh behind them. Made mine from 8mm stainless high pressure air line!

But that could get very expensive if found out
