Offered up my rear wings today and it looks like the offset on my wheels means that the radius of the tyres are in the arch but the side walls are
going to protrude by max about 10mm... I am pretty sure this will not ne acceptable for SVA... What have people got a way with? I may have to go with
the Viento rear wings but how much are they and how much wider are they than the Velocity arches?
thanks

get a sheet of 10mm mdf and made some spacers. cover them in vinyl and they will look great.
then after sva, remove the spacers!
Hi. I fitted a wheel offset that fitted within the arches.
The Viento arches will be too long.
The MDF idea sounds a good one
There not great arches on the velocity. i have 15x8 with zero offset so i cut them in half and extended the centres! a bloody mission. i'd recomend just buying wider ones or taking it to sva on Steel std rims
Just measured my Viento rear wings.
From body to the extreme edge. measured at the top of the wing which is the widest part they are 310mm wide.
and the longest bit from front to back (over the arch) is1475mm (long side of a D)
and 870mm across the bottom (think of a "D" on its side)
I think these are a fair bit longer that a Locost / velocity as the body is higher, and longer. Hope this is helpful.
Some sort of arch trim /rubber extrusion might work as would perhaps a thicker tadpole beading between the body and the wing ? look neat as well ?
Thanks Guys for the suggestions...Ben has fitted Viento wings on a Velocity I think....They just hand over at the bottom atthe back I think... Not
sure which way I will go yet....
thanks

Legally you can have no more than 2" of wheel /tyre exposed for MOT so 10mm won't be a problem . I'm not sure about SVA . I think I would go along with the steel wheels idea until you pass SVA
These are mine.. bad pic but you get the idea
What is your wheel offset?
Can you just confirm that they are std Velocity wings and not the Viento ones?
thanks

Isn't that a one piece rear end?
