Roll bar/cage requirements and chassis
Avoneer - 21/5/05 at 02:19 PM

I am currently nearing completion of my locoblade chassis (not ST one).
If I was to eventually race in one of the 750 classes, what requirements do I need for the roll bar/cage?
Does it have to be a full cage, or will two rear drop bars, a diagonal in the main hoop and a long diagonal from the front, top, middle of the main hoop to the front outside corner of the passenegr footwell do?

All bars are 50mm x 2mm wall.

Is there anything else I will need to take into consideration with the chassis that is different from normal road going ones?

Cheers,

Pat...

I bought my roll cage from brian mitcham who races in the locost championship if you do a search on here for him i'm sure his number will be on it.

If its for RGB you dont need the full monty cage, strange but true.

the main failing point on a lot of RGB cars has been roll bar height, without checking regs i think its 2" minimum above top of helmet, thats the one too look out for.
