I'd like to ask what is difference between
Dedion and proper IRS on track (bumpy track?)? Did anyone make any sort of real comparition? Head to head track test? (assuming all rest is the same)

This is the probably the wrong place to ask that question realy ...... Locost racers have to use the live axle as per 'book' and most of us know that the chassis dimensions are wrong/uncompetitive in any other formula so we would probably build something else - or at least a 'Westfield' to the proper/original dimensions

On a smooth track, a de-dion system is probably as good as an IRS. It has a surprising number of good features including low weight, constant camber to road, etc. On a bumpy road IRS would probably be better, but on track the extra weight would probably do more bad than any advantage gained.
Proper setup, and ensureing everything is working the way it is intended is probably the most important factor.

All the caterhams use de-dion.
