SVA pass Shrewsbury
jabbahutt - 13/11/08 at 07:55 AM

Morning all

Firstly apologies for not posting yesterday but I was having problems with the home computer so had to wait until I got into work today.

Well at last I get to see what it feels like to finally get my grubby little hands on a treasured MAC.

What a fantastic feeling. The drive there and back was absolutley brilliant though I didn't take it past 50 on the way there for fear of throwing one of the magnets on the prop shaft.

Stuart the examiner was really helpful as per the original test and I'd recommend the Shrewsbury test centre to anyone local enough. It's also a really nice drive to get to.

No photo luckily for you lot of me with the treasured MAC as I appear to of mislaid my camera somewhere.

Many thanks to everyone here who has helped me get this far, it's much appreciated.

Now just the DVLA paperwork to get my head round.

Cheers again all
Nigel
and still grinning like a fool, wonder how long it lasts

Nice one. I suspect the truth is that the lens cracked.

jabbahutt - 13/11/08 at 08:21 AM

Nice one! Good luck with DVLA. Don't believe all the horror stories. They aren't always that bad.

How "lost" did you get on the way home? Does this mean no more electrical questions?

Brilliant, well done Nigel - great feeling ain't it?
Now all you have to do is wait for DVLA to get their a*se into gear.
I've been suprised how much fettling there needs to be done post SVA (including the aforementioned bits of trim that fall off!)
Let's hope we have a nice dry winter.
Cheers, Pewe

Well done. Did you drive A41?

1 more member nearby to get a meet going with then.

Hammerhead - 13/11/08 at 10:19 AM

good effort, well done

jabbahutt - 13/11/08 at 10:30 AM

Yep, drove the A41. Nice drive can imagine it's nice in the Summer, yesterday was a bit windy for a first ever drive.

Just need a bit more practice as it's a bit different to driving a normal tin top. Must admit even though it's only a pinto the acceleration suprised me.

Well done, easy isn't it..............

All you need then is to find some time to bloody drive it.......... This is my biggest problem at the moment

We'll definately have to arrange to meet up some time soon, I'm back from Germany in the middle of December so maybe we can talk then...

Well done once again, oh and by the way it'll be at least a fortnight before the grin even begins to fade.......

Viel Spass

John.
