Chassis number

Do the numbers/letters for the chassis number have to be a certain size?

bigger than 4mm as told by my local sva centre, i have done mine in 5mm

sva min of 4mm on offside of vehicle, which sounds stupid as pc plod could get run over when checking.....well maybe not such a bad idea

Follow up question - do the numbers have to be stamped? I have access to an engraver

I did mine in 10mm......
Now tell me they're too bloody small


Only used them coz thats what I had

I know Ben in Margate used 4mm with no prob's

how do you assign urself a chassis number? I have a Locost built from scratch so no chassis number exists as of yet!
