Build photos, proof of engine age (if required), just about anything you've got that can make their job easier.

If you have rubber fuel or brake lines you will need docs to proove they are fit for purpose

If your fuel and brake fluid lines are marked, you should be ok. However if they are unmarked, you will need a letter from the manufacturer stating that they conform to the required standards.

everything you have, photos you took during build, recipts, and everything .... dont offer it, but may prove useful!

Hellfire - 12/4/09 at 07:50 PM

Build photographs may show areas which are not easily accessible such as fuel lines and electrics in the tunnel, handbrake cables and diff in the boot area etc. Like Dave says, you don't have to offer it but it might save the SVA inspector attempting to impersonate a contortionist.

You were very lucky but if i may say so a tad foolish.

Be prepared, take more than you need.
You would hate to fail the test on a simple thing you have in your possesion but left at home.

I took all the relevant paperwork i had with me, i also took tons of tools and trim bits, cable ties, P clips, pipe wires solder, battery drills and much more.
The speedo stopped working but I could rewire it. I also had the phone numbers of friends and manufacturers and did need to call them. With all this Scout like preparation I managed to turn a fail into a first time pass.
After years of building why go unprepaired
