New Donor Engine Photo Evidence?
MrFozzieBear - 17/4/09 at 10:24 PM

Hi,

Just been reading CKC and they’ve mentioned that VOSA now require Photo evidence if you inform them on your V5 you've changed the Donor Car engine for another like a V8 and want to see the photo of the new engine in your donor when you come to register your locost for an age related plate.

Doe’s anyone know a way around this?

And also what is the minimum amount of major parts needed to get an age related plate?

Thanks.

It's not difficult - take engine from donor, drop in new engine, and photograph.

There's no mention of it having to work, just look convincing

Age related = convince the inspector that you have used 2 of the lsit below
Chassis/Body
Axle
Transmission
Steering Assembly
Engine
Suspension (front and back)
and a V5 from the doner is helpful

The wimbledon vro gave a point for each major component and I needed 8 points.
On the donor parts alone for my F1-2 car, I could only get 6 points.
They also give 5 points for a new manufacturers chassis. I was the manufacturer so I had to give them a reciept for the new steel and that took me over the 8 point requirement.
Just thought this might help someone in the same situation.

I'm sure someone has some pics of a donor sierra depending on the colour that yours was.
