Going for IVA retest fiday next week.

Want to go to DVLA on the return journey, just contacted the 'swansea central contolling phone number for all DVLA centres' and one of the helpful things the lady at Swansea said was I had to provide an MOT cert and an insurance cert to register it.

She also said that they won't be able to do it there and then.

Comments invited?

Not again.. Load of tosh, you need to talk to someone that knows what to do, ask for there manager and escalate it.. Front of house staff don't all know the rules.

Don't need an MOT.

Theale wouldn't do mine there and then, but I know other people at other offices have been lucky. I had to make an appointment for one DVLA bloke to 'inspect' the car, but then he couldn't sign off the paperwork, his manager had to do it, who conveniently wasn't in that day. In all it was three weeks between me turning up on the way back from IVA, and getting my reg through the post. This was over Christmas though, so to be fair it may only have been a fortnight normally.
