spent 2 hours today trying to get the omisions to hit the target ready for the sva in a couple of weeks, got the idle co to below .5 got the fast
idle co below .3 but couldnt get the lambda below 1.03, then the laptop died and then to finish off i ran out of food.fed up and hungry i decided to
give it one more go but all i could get the lambda down to was 1.014. even more fed up i decided to call it a day and went home to sulk.
just spoke to a m8 a few mins ago and realised my mistake, becouse id wrote the figures for the cat test down as 1.03 it was the 3 that i conentrated
on rather than the extra 0 at the end of what should of been 1.030 lol
does every one get stressed at sva times
Mate tell me about it!!
I just spent best part of two days trying to diagnose why my LED indicators were flashing too fast even with ballast resistors in that should sort the
problem. I'd unwrapped loads of the loom behind the dash trying to sort it out.
I did think that maybe the battery charge being too low would cause this to happen but I thought it very unlikely and also spoke to Steve at SVC who I
got the resistors off and he said it shouldn't make any difference.
Seemed odd but it had been getting worse so I put the battery on charge.
Walked in the garage at 6.30 this morning and bingo, all sorted, works fine!!
As you've said just one of those things that you learn when building a car.
Glad you got your emissions sorted, good luck mate.
Rich.
P.S. Re: the track day at Oulton on the 8th June, unfortunately won't be able to make it mate as I can't get the time off work, a shame but
def hope to get along to one with you soon.
