brake pipes need separate clips?
02GF74 - 21/12/05 at 11:04 AM

Did I dream this up as I cannot find a reference to it. I am sure I have read somewhere that brake lines need a separate clip when held in place i.e. one clip cannot hold 2 brake lines side by side.

SVA makes no mention other than being secure.

So a dream or a fact?

I have held 2 brake pipes with 1 P clip in places. SVA man didn't complain. That said, I only did it with 1 or maybe 2 clips.

If you use a double pipe clip then they are made for the job.
If you put the two metal pipes in the same clip, touching, then thats probably not so good and there is a potential for them to chafe together and fail....

Play safe - dont let them touch anything (inc chassis).
You might get away with it at some tests, i know i wouldnt have.
