Well I passed my SVA on the 17th of Feb, Finally got an appointment for my DVLA check come through for the 28th of March! I've been in constant
contact with them and sent my forms off straight after my SVA - I have never dealt with a more backwards and annoying system in my frigging life! Its
taken the last 10 days alone for them to accept that I am happy with a Q plate (they eventually needed it in writing apparently, the fact that I told
them this many times on the phone and also didnt provide a donor V5 wasnt enough to convince them of that)
Of the many times I've had to speak to them this bit never failed to make my day:
"Can I speak to someone at my local office direct please? No sir we will have to fax them and they will call you back at some random point in
the future."
ah well, at least they havent asked for an MOT....
yet!
Is the office near you?? If it is then a trip down there is best, face to face.
Seems a long lead time for an inspection, is this for them to come to you or you to go to them??
Look on the bright side, just looked in your archive, your car looks lovely!!!
Rich.
well lucky for me i live bout ten minutes away from swansea! but this dont mean il have an easy time when it comes for me to get my baby registered!! any tips
I had exactly the same problems. Fortunatley, the DVLA office is 1/4 mile from my route home from work. I went in there a lot...
rich your right it does look the biz. knew should of gone for an indy
Cheers for the compliments on the motor fellas! If I lived closer to my 'local' office I would have gone in person but I'm in stoke and
the closest is Shrewsbury about 75 mile round trip, I've been really busy with work and couldnt take a day off, but then again had I known it
would take this long I wish I had.
COREdevelopments - the only tip I can give you is get the forms filled in and sent off before your SVA and if you have any problems dont bother
phoning, go in person!
