Hi guys,

My Locost is now nearing completion and am starting to dress her up for the SVA. I live in South Wales so will be going to either the Bristol or Cardiff test centre. Was wondering if anyone has has any experience of these two centres? Are there any 'pet hates' or common fail items that i should be aware of?

Had my car SVA'd 6 weeks ago at Cardiff found the guy very helpful.Also a friend had his car done there about 3 weeks previous to mine also said a good bunch there.

I had a dreadful (6 hour!!) experience of the Miskin centre a few years ago! They had just opened (reopened) the centre and my examiner was being examined himself - it was a farce! They spent an hour debating whether my method of wrapping the harnesses (3" around the cage (in exactly the same way as BTCC and WRC cars do!!) was OK or not!

I'm sure they're not so an*l there now!

way off, im at carmarthen. just curious as there aint many from wales but see a few cars out in the sunny weather

yeah i know what you mean, they soon come out when the sun shines. although on one of the hottest day of the year the other day i saw a guy driving with full weather gear up! wasn't sure as i was flying past on the other side of the road but i think it was a C***r**m!!!!!

I'm in Pontypool, not many 7's around my way, one Westfield as I know of.

I'm taking my car to Nottingham SVA centre.

All the RAW Strikers go to Cardiff including mine and I drove from Gloucestershire to get there!

Very helpful and stopped the test for me to find a rear brake caliper bolt in the local scrappy as one of mine fell out on the way down
