Rang up to get later time but kit cars are only done in the morning only and will take up to 12 am
Will have to get up extra extra early to allow for breakdown/tow home/fix.
Keeping finger crossed it doesn't rain.
As an aside, would I be dirve legally to a pre-arranged MOT look over, not an actual MOT? (don't want to get on the MOT computer until I have
to)
You have to be booked in for an MOT so i beleive. Whether they actually do the MOT or not is up to them i guess.

Well done that man. You seem to be doing a great job. It hasnt taken you long.
Mine was 8am as well. Over 1 hour drive. I set off at 6, got there by 7.15. Gave me enough time to blow tyres up for centering test and take wind
deflector off. I was well chuffed that the first 45 mile drive out went without a hitch. Drive home was even better even though i failed. I wouldnt
hesitate to drive again if i was to build another.
Ref legal drive to MOT or simlar. You have to be insured and have a pre-arranged appointment. I believe you are allowed to drive to a place to have
specialist work carried out as well. i was tempted to take mine to Sheffield to be set up but such a long journey is a grey area. i think you could
book into an MOT place to have lights and emissions set up (i did this but dont know the exact ruling - garage was close and in rural area). Im sure
for a few beer tokens the tester will give it a once over without doing the paperwork (which iam sure you know you dont want).

Which centre will you be going to?
Since my experience, I wouyld be inclined to find this documented somewhere that it is legal to drive to an MOT, without numberplates etc, even though you have been insured, I've not seen it yet........?
When we enquired about this, VOSA told us that you could only legally drive to and from the SVA test. However, if you fail the test you can legally
drive to and from a pre-booked appointment for a repair.

ReMan, that's what I was trying to say, you are OK for retest or subsequent MOT's but not for pre SVA. Like you I believe there is no such
ruling to allow you to drive it legally before the SVA.
