The SVA manual says "attached to the vehicle using 8mm (grade 8.8 or better) fasteners no more than approx 100mm apart". That is in the seat/runners section.

100mm? I was only looking at two bolts per runner!

Interestingly enough I bought some Caterham runners, (dont ask!), these only have provision for two bolts per runner...............

Mine two months ago was fine with the 4 bolts ( two per side of seat ) that came with the roadster 7 seats. The are cap headed bolts, not sure of they were marked or not.

The 100mm spacing is for 'low profile' runners. 'Heavy duty' runners need bolts at no more than 250mm.

The 100mm & 250mm fixings spacing is that for seat tracking, see section 5 annex 1.
