RS2000 live axle half shaft oil leak

sorry for the massive pic, but i have a leak on my axle, were can i get new oil seals or whatever is needed?

Hi

Pretty sure the seal is part of the bearing, and they ain't straight forward to change.

Hi there

I have same problem to fix on my escort axle. The seal and bearing is not exactly a DIY job being heat-fitted onto the shaft end.

Can be done but sounds a really medieval task to accomplish at home (hot oil, bbqs, hammers..) - search on past threads as there is a fair amount of excellent advice on this.

Not an easy task!

Hi, it's been covered before, it's a simple enough job really, we used an angle grinder with cutting disc to get the old one off. and a home made press to put the new one on.

I had the same problem with my axle.
I changed the bearings and Voila! it still leaked
