dave1888 - 13/1/09 at 06:00 PM

Ok i've hit a bit of a snag, not having the capabilities to make my own rear wishbones i need to buy a set top and bottom. Now the snag they need to take MX5 uprights. Westfield want £500 and MNR tell me theres will not fit the tiger. Any suggestions welcome.

Do you have the dimensions of the upright & chassis mounting points?

Now see im lost here, Pickup points there are non of the chassis. The Tiger uses the whole rear end from the sierra as attached pic so really if i can see in the flesh wishbones i can get the pickup points welded on.

do you have sierra or mx5 driveshafts then,
I suppose you can use an ali adapter at the inboard end of the mx5 shafts

are you changing to mx5 running gear and ditching the sierra subframe

Yes Liam i want to ditch the sierra rear and fit double wishbones. The hope is to use the complete running gear from the mx5.

You are looking at doing this with a Cat?

The rear end is going to take some reworking to say the least, I know Oliwb on here did away with the Sierra beam and put a De Dion rear end in its place which I would suggest would be a way forward with your MX5 setup.
