I would go for 3.92

Better acceleration

http://locost7.info/gearcalc.php

3.92 would give you roughly:
6360rpm @ 30 in 1st
2390rpm @ 30 in 3rd
2850rpm @ 60mph in 5th
3330rpm @ 70mph in 5th
4760rpm @ 100mph in 5th
and so on..... 3.62 lowers those rpm's by about ~8%

I have a 3.92 and 195/50/15's. Cruising at 60mph is just under 3k rpm, which seems about right to me.

thanks for the quick replys

I have a 3.92 from the donor car but thought it might rev to high as the donor had 185/65/14 and i am going to use 195/50/15 which has a smaller dia?

it seems that 3.92 for a fast getaway or 3.62 for crusing then

Have a play with this, you can try different diffs and tyre sizes
