
Now i have a question regarding steering rack arms.
If the rack was not centered, so when the wheels are pointing straight ahead one of the arms is further out than the other, would that feel like bump
steer?
Went out for the first drive propper drive yesterday and it was a bitch to drive over bumpy roads.
Just looked at the rack tonight and the inboard joints are inline with the top and bottom pivot points (now)

I would imagine so, if one arm is longer than the other the wheels will pull different angles when going over a bump (unless both arms are set up in the correct position to negate bump steer).
Yes but you would feel it more under hard braking --- the car would tend to dive to one side.
Was the toe-in set before your test drive ? --- any toe-out will cause really nasty and dangerous handling on bumpy surfaces.
Also check the dampers weren't too hard you want them set really soft on a light car.
Although many will tell you otherwise the perfect position for the inner ball joints of a rack isn't inline with the wishbone pivots. You
should allow for the ackerman offset on the front steering arms ---- on ford front suspension this pretty small any way.
