i keep looking at it and want to buy it ,HELP ME SAY NOOOOOOO
EBAY Item number: 200376446086
buy it!
linky
can you even drive that on the road?
Linky
Looks good if you can repair it
I think that's been up for sale a few times...
BUY IT NOW
Then let us watch as it bankrupts you...
DONT DO IT
oh well i tried
Assuming bad things happen in threes, it's been crashed, set on fire and water damaged, what else could possibly go wrong
I'd avoid it if I was you. Look at the costs of rebuilding that busa engine, rebore, rings, pistons, valves etc are going to be big bucks. Then
you need throttle bodies and a complete wiring loom, including ECU etc. It's going to be cheaper to buy a new engine kit from Malc.
Then there is the rolling chassis which will have been mildy roasted, then put out with corrosive extinguishers, then left to rust. I'd imagine
you'd need to replace a lot of ally panelling and all the pipework (fuel, brakes, cooling etc).
Then you've got the cost of repairs to the glass and a respray to add on.
Easy repair that'll only take a few days!
Mike
I have seen that before, maybe it is worse than it looks?
Still I guess if it isn;t as described then you can walk away - it might just be a bit tough if the guy is a nob.
Buy it. Buy it! BUY IT! Actually, don't, as said this will bankrupt you!
I have to admit, if I had £5k in my back burner, I wouldn't be "thinking", I'd be "clicking"
its now been on ebay i think 3 times, first time i saw it 2 months aga and posted a link it was about a grand less!! thought it had been sold too.
think i had same thoughts of buying it to once
previous june link
go and take a very low silly amount of money and wave it in the guys face, then have a few extra notes in ur back pocket and get it for a good deal.
That sounds like a really deep whole to throw lots of money into. Then add plenty of head scrathing mix with subtle amounts of bloody hard work and
the finished result..... regret you didnt just but something complete or alot cheaper!
Er, dont buy it.
You could always stick a Zetec in it wiv a huge exhaust to make it sound good
Oooh - messy! I suppose it just depends on how comitted you are and how deep your pockets are! Looks like one hell of a job to sort out and
there'd suredly be plenty of hidden horrors...
Nope. Don't do it.

No more time wasters please
I would consider my Radical to be MUCH better VFM! Better car too!
LINKY
Lots of interest, but no firm commitment to buy!
Hi
Has to be said a Radical for not a lot more would be a far better buy and actualy Handel.
The XTR2 will have heat damage to the chassis and where the fire has been put out with extinguishers the ingredients of them will have scraped every
other part on the car being as it's been left so long. It would be cheaper to buy a new kit and start fresh rather than repair that particular
one.
Cheers Matt
Is it worth speaking to Westfield themselves? They might know the car and be able to put some "actual" costs behind restoring it.
Personally I'd not even consider it.
Don't do it. It'll cost you more to restore than to build from new. Every part will be seized and corroded. Ask yourself which bits won't need to be replaced!
That pile of scrap is next to worthless. It will cost you approximately 1 Westfield XTR2 to turn that back into a Westfield XTR2 . Not to mention
the time and effort.
