omega0684 - 9/1/10 at 01:50 PM

afternoon all;

i've been thinking about fitting a Wilwood clutch slave cylinder, seen HERE, but was just wondering; what size master cylinder would i need to fit to ?

anyone running one, pro & cons please? just thinking it might give my left leg a break from trying to to shift the cluth of my boat anchor

cheers

Alex

Could you not just change the pedal ratio you have at the moment? I don't know what the Dax pedals look like, so that may not be possible.

Otherwise, what size slave you want depends what size master you have and what you want to do. IE, a smaller bore slave will give a harder, shorter pedal, whilst a larger one will do the opposite.

the measurements of the slave are on the link

But how does it compare to what you have now? Is it bigger or smaller?

He may be running a cable setup

Ah, you may have a point there, having read the question fully!

It depends on the pedal ratio and travel you want in the pedal and need in the slave.

The two bore sizes are linked by a simple little equation dependant on the above.

to a certain degree anything will work, assuming the fluid volumes are acceptable.
